Q: How does matching work?
A: We apply your filters (age, distance, looking-for), then rank people using trait compatibility from tests you complete. Personality scores are for dating insight — not clinical diagnosis.
Q: Why personality / trait tests?
A: TraitMatch is built around who you are. Completing pillars unlocks better ranking and (with Premium) advanced trait filters. Results are orientational self-insight only.
Q: What is Extra like?
A: A stronger like. Mutual Like or Extra can create a match and unlock private messaging.
Q: What is Skip?
A: You move to the next profile without a permanent “No”.
Q: What is Ponds?
A: Public group chats organised by topics and vibe. The same Community Guidelines apply.
Q: Are advanced trait filters free?
A: Basic filters are free. Trait-based advanced filters are Premium features billed via Google Play.
Q: How do I pause discovery?
A: Settings → Discovery & privacy → turn off “Show me in Match”. Your matches and chats remain.
Q: How do I report someone?
A: Use Report / Block on a profile or chat, or Settings → Report a problem. For emergencies, contact local authorities first.
Q: Why was my account limited or banned?
A: Usually for Community Guidelines violations or safety reports. Temporary limits may lift after a cool-down; serious cases can be permanent. Appeal: support@traitmatch.app.
Q: How do I download my data?
A: Settings → Download my data. The export includes your on-device profile and trait-test results (portable JSON). Server-held likes, matches, and chat metadata can be requested by emailing privacy@traitmatch.app; we will expand in-app export over time.
Q: How do I delete my account and data?
A: Settings → Delete account (in-app), or https://traitmatch.pages.dev/account-deletion. Deletion is scheduled promptly (short recovery window, typically up to 7 days) and personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy (not a freeze).
Q: Do you sell my data?
A: No.
Q: What are SusCoin / Boost / Premium?
A: SusCoin is in-app virtual currency for optional features. Boost increases temporary visibility. Premium unlocks advanced trait filters and related perks. All are billed via Google Play; balances are not real-world cash. See Terms §8.
Q: Are messages private?
A: Match 1:1 DMs use end-to-end encryption on our servers’ view of plaintext. We still see metadata needed to deliver chat. Ponds / public rooms are not E2E. Details: Privacy Policy.
