TraitMatch Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

1. Our intellectual property
The Service, software, branding, logos, mascot assets, and original content are owned by TraitMatch or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit them except as allowed by the Terms or with written permission.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of your UGC. You grant us the licence described in the Terms of Service to operate the Service.
3. Respect others’ rights
Do not upload, post, or share content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights. Music, film stills, and brand logos you do not own typically need a licence.
4. Notice of claimed infringement (DMCA-style)
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email copyright@traitmatch.app with:
• your contact information;
• identification of the copyrighted work;
• identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location (URL, username, or in-app location);
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised;
• a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act; and
• your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers’ accounts.
5. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to copyright@traitmatch.app with the information required by applicable law.
6. Trademarks
TraitMatch name and marks may not be used in a way that confuses others about sponsorship or affiliation without permission.
